Fire Ceremony for Purification

In the Tibetan Mahayana Buddhist tradition – for the removal of negative karma and obscurations.

This is an intimate ceremony, and practised only in the strictest of guidance.

This event is not open to the general public.

Leading the Fire Ceremony

Sanjay has been practicing Tibetan Buddhism since 2008, his main teacher being Lama Zopa Rinpoche from Kopan Monastery in Nepal. He has a special affiliation with this particular ceremony, being part of the preliminary practices in this tradition.

Location: David’s house in Badger Creek, about 45 minutes drive from Phoenix.

12:30 – 2pm Lunch: Homemade pizza lunch, using David’s outdoor stone pizza oven. David is preparing fresh bases for everyone. Please bring your own toppings. If you are gluten free, please bring your own pizza bases too.

2 – 3pm Fire Ceremony: Bring a chair to sit on for this practice.

3 – 4pm Dessert and Chats: You can bring sweets to share or just enjoy the peaceful surrounds and company of Phoenix yogis. Homemade chai will be provided by Sanjay.

Pricing – $15 / $10 (gluten free)

This payment goes towards pizza bases and offerings for the ceremony.

Not available for anyone who does not attend classes currently at Phoenix, or those on an intro pass. Students on membership will be considered first.
