9 Week Course

Meditation Level 2

Mindful Thinking

buddhist meditation

Dive into the profound wisdom of the Mahayana Tibetan Buddhist Teachings.

Open to everyone, regardless of whether you have meditated before. The foundational text we study and use for our meditation practice was refined 900 years ago by Lama Tsong Khapa, a great Buddhist monk.

Starts Wednesday 23 June 2021 7:30pm – 8:30pm

Enrol

Over 9 weeks we will learn the foundation teachings of the Mahayana Buddhist school, who’s wisdom comes direct from the teachings of Buddha himself. This philosophy is very practical for our everyday life and gives us the tools to grow the kindness and compassion that is present within us.

Each week we will meditate on a topic, applying analytical meditation, developing deep concentration and connecting to our own wisdom and truth.

As humans we are constantly thinking and this practice uses that innate quality to bring change to the habitual way in which we think and react.

Topics

• Perfect Human Rebirth
• Eight Worldy Concerns
• Impermance and Death
• Karma and Purification
• Samsaric Suffering
• Anger and Patience
• Attachment
• Equanimity and Kindness

I’m so grateful for having the opportunity to have completed each one of these mediation courses. They enabled me to give valuable time to my own inner development, deepening my understanding and sense of compassion, and strengthening my personal meditation practice. This is a continuing balancing factor in my yoga practice.

The content and meditations are so accessible and wonderfully delivered by Sanjay. We also had lots of fun, with classes full of insightful and thought provoking conversations.

My thinking has changed in the way I view the world and other beings. I don't feel so afraid or threatened by other beings. My view has softened and opened. I'm able to remain a little more detached by events around me, therefore, I'm less stressed.

I realised just how important my life is and that I should make my best efforts to use it well. Also how brief life is and not to waste time and energy on material things.

I am absolutely inspired to keep a continuous practice of meditation in place. There are few opportunities in life that offer a true insight into who you are and also the never ending mind stream of humanity. I have been blessed to have taken part in this experience and reach out to everyone that would like to create a heart space the size of a mammoth star.

Thanks so much Sanjay. Many blessing and good wishes to you.

Symon

Thanks again for another great meditation course. This is the second time I’ve completed all three meditation levels and there continues to be so much to absorb and reflect on.

This style of meditation has helped me to be more cognisant of my impact on the world, and has given me a deeper understanding of how we can each evolve spiritually, with compassion for other sentient beings at the core of what we do. It really has been life changing.
